Phil Knight

Phil Knight is the co-founder and former CEO of Nike, Inc., the world's largest athletic footwear and apparel company. He graduated from the University of Oregon and earned an MBA from Stanford University. Knight's entrepreneurial journey began in 1964 when he started Blue Ribbon Sports with his former track coach Bill Bowerman, which later became Nike in 1971. Under his leadership, Nike revolutionized the athletic shoe industry and became a global powerhouse in sports marketing. Knight's memoir "Shoe Dog" chronicles Nike's early days and his personal experiences building the iconic brand. A renowned philanthropist, he has donated over $2 billion to his alma maters and other institutions. Knight resides in Oregon with his wife Penny and continues to be involved with Nike as Chairman Emeritus.
