Any contract for purchases made through the website will be with Horizon Bookstore.
Horizon Bookstore must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted, and the contract formed. Payment is not taken until the point of dispatch of the goods to you. Once payment has been received Horizon Bookstore will send an order confirmation by email, this is simply that we have received your order, and not that it is guaranteed for shipment. The shipment email will include your name, the order number and the total price. Horizon Bookstore’s acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms. Any term sought to be imposed by you in your order will not form part of the contract.
Horizon Bookstore is entitled to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our website. If an error or inaccuracy is discovered with regards to the advertised price of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible by email. This will be to inform you of the correct price of the goods, and to ask you if you wish to continue with the order at the amended price, or to cancel the order altogether.
We accept payment via major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, and Amazon Pay. All payments are processed securely through encrypted connections.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if fraud or an unauthorized or illegal activity is suspected.
Horizon Bookstore operates using a dropshipping model, with order fulfillment provided by Amazon. This means that when you place an order with us, it is processed and shipped directly from Amazon’s warehouses. While we strive to ensure a smooth and reliable service, please be aware of the following:

If you are an individual and are not buying goods on behalf of a business, there are certain circumstances in which you may withdraw from the contract and these are set out here. This right to withdraw does not apply to business buyers.
You may withdraw your order for goods at any time up to the end of the thirtieth working day after you have received the goods. You do not need to give Horizon Bookstore any reason for withdrawing your order nor will you have to pay any penalty.
You may return products within 30 days of receipt. Please refer to our $$Returns Policy](link to returns policy page) for detailed instructions on how to return your order and what you can return. Returns must be in their original condition, with all original packaging and tags intact. As your order is fulfilled by Amazon, returns will be processed by Amazon according to their return policy. Please note that returns are subject to Amazon’s return policy as well as our own. You may be responsible for shipping costs associated with returns, please refer to the third parties shipping and returns terms for full clarity. Any refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 30 days of your order, in line with Amazons terms. This excludes any downloadable products or products with a seal when removed.
To withdraw your order you must notify Horizon Bookstore via the contact page or contact@horizonbookstore.com
If you have received the goods before you withdraw your order then, unless you have lost your right to withdraw because you have taken the goods out of their sealed package, you must send them back to the address provided by Horizon Bookstore customer support. Please refer to our $$Returns Policy](link to returns policy page) for detailed instructions on how to return your order., unless the goods were supplied faulty or damaged. If you withdraw your order but Horizon Bookstore has already processed the goods for delivery, and you have received them, you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you, and you must send the goods back to Horizon Bookstore at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
Once you have notified Horizon Bookstore that you are withdrawing your order, any sum debited to Horizon Bookstore from your credit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible and, in any event, within 30 days of your order.
Digital Products: Due to the nature of digital products (e.g., eBooks, audiobooks), we generally do not offer returns or refunds for these items once they have been downloaded or accessed. If you experience technical issues, please contact our customer support.
In some circumstances, we may limit the number of copies of a particular book or product or series of books or products you can order. This may, for example, be where we have limited stocks of a particular book or product, whether caused by limitations placed on us by our suppliers, where a book is signed by an author or otherwise. When we are aware of this, we will notify you before an order is made. Whether or not we have notified you before you have placed an order, if Horizon Bookstore has insufficient stock to deliver some or all of the goods ordered by you, or where you have ordered or sought to order (whether in one transaction or multiple transactions, and whether from one or more customer accounts) goods in excess of any quantity limits we have imposed, we will notify you as soon as possible of which parts of your order we will accept and which we will reject.
Sums debited (if any) by Horizon Bookstore from your debit or credit card or any other source of payment for goods we are unable or unwilling to supply to you will be re-credited to your account. Horizon Bookstore will notify you by email at the address you gave in your order form of which orders have been satisfied and which have been rejected. Any refund will be made as soon as possible and within 30 days of your order. Horizon Bookstore will not be obliged to offer additional compensation for disappointment suffered… Please also note: in furtherance of the above provisions, we endeavor to bring our customers the best value we can by running special offers, but please remember stocks are limited at the special offer price and subject to availability, which is subject to change without notice. We update our website as quickly as we can to minimize disappointment. Updating the website when goods have sold out at promotional prices can take a few hours to update. Please note that the prices of the goods offered for tender are displayed in the shopping basket. Rest assured, your debit or credit card will only be debited as your order or individual items from your order are dispatched.
Gift cards and vouchers are non-refundable unless required by law.

Horizon Bookstore utilizes Amazon’s fulfillment services for order processing and shipping. This means Amazon handles the packaging and delivery of your order, selecting the appropriate courier for your location. We currently deliver to Germany, USA, Australia, and the UK.
If you are ordering goods for delivery outside of the UK, please note that your consignment may be subject to VAT (Value Added Tax), other taxes, customs duties and/or fees levied by the destination country. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be borne by you. You are solely responsible for all customs charges, including any fees incurred if you refuse to accept the shipment. It is accepted by you that Horizon Bookstore has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. Horizon Bookstore recommends that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order.
This is as follows:
(a) If the goods Horizon Bookstore delivers are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, Horizon Bookstore shall have no liability to you unless you notify Horizon Bookstore of the problem, in writing via the contact page or contact@horizonbookstore.com within 10 working days of the delivery of goods in question.
(b) If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which they were dispatched to you, Horizon Bookstore shall have no liability to you unless you notify Horizon Bookstore in writing at the Horizon Bookstore contact address of the problem within 40 days of the date on which the goods were dispatched to you.
(c) If you notify a problem to Horizon Bookstore under this condition, Horizon Bookstore’s only obligation will be, at its option, to make good any shortage or non-delivery; to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question to the original method of payment, unless such method is no longer valid in which case Horizon Bookstore e-coupons will be issued to the value of the refund due.
(d) Horizon Bookstore will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem you notify to Horizon Bookstore under this condition and Horizon Bookstore shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under paragraph (c) above.
(e) Nothing in this condition is, however, intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit Horizon Bookstore’s liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.
(f) Nothing in this contract creates any right which is enforceable by any person not a party to the contract. Our products are only intended for the sole use of the customer
(g) If you receive a damaged or defective item, please get in touch with our customer support team within seven days of delivery. We will provide instructions on returning the item and arrange for a replacement or refund.
Horizon Bookstore shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, strikes, pandemics, government regulations, or actions or inactions of Amazon or its delivery partners.
If any part of these conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which Horizon Bookstore excludes its liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
Horizon Bookstore operates a complaints handling procedure which is used to try to resolve disputes when they first arise. If you have a complaint, please contact us via the contact page or contact@horizonbookstore.com. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 10 business days.
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law, and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
These Terms and Conditions, together with the current Horizon Bookstore website prices, delivery details and Horizon Bookstore contact details, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the goods to you by Horizon Bookstore.
