Book description
Glenn Beck

“The way Jon conducts his business and lives his life will not only inspire you to be a better person, citizen, and entrepreneur, it also will give you hope that the good guys don't finish last.”
Glenn Beck

“Winners Never Cheat: Even in Difficult Times” is an inspiring and practical guide to achieving success without compromising your values. Written by Jon M. Huntsman, a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist, this book challenges the notion that one must be ruthless or unethical to succeed in business.

Readers will learn how to:

• Navigate complex ethical dilemmas in business
• Build a reputation for integrity and trustworthiness
• Lead teams effectively while maintaining high moral standards
• Achieve long-term success through ethical decision-making
• Balance profit-making with social responsibility

Huntsman draws on his extensive experience as a CEO and White House advisor to provide real-world examples of ethical leadership in action. He shares personal stories of times when he chose integrity over short-term gains, demonstrating how these decisions ultimately led to greater success.

The book emphasizes that true winners are those who finish their careers and lives with respect and dignity, rather than those who simply accumulate wealth or power at any cost1. Huntsman argues that financial ends never justify unethical means and that success comes to those who possess skill, courage, integrity, and generosity.

“Winners Never Cheat” serves as both an inspirational read and a practical guide. It reminds readers of the core values they learned in childhood and demonstrates how these principles can be applied successfully in the business world.

By following Huntsman’s advice, readers can learn to navigate the complexities of modern business while maintaining their moral compass. This book is essential reading for anyone who believes that success and ethics should go hand in hand. It offers a refreshing perspective in a world where ethical shortcuts often seem tempting, proving that it’s possible to reach the top without compromising your values.

Author biography

Jon M. Huntsman Sr. was a renowned American businessman, philanthropist, and author. As the founder and executive chairman of Huntsman Corporation, a global manufacturer of specialty chemicals, he built a multibillion-dollar enterprise from humble beginnings. Huntsman’s business acumen and ethical leadership principles are showcased in his book “Winners Never Cheat: Even in Difficult Times.” His career spanned decades, including service in the Nixon administration and as a special assistant to President Reagan. Huntsman’s philanthropic efforts were equally impressive, with donations exceeding $1.5 billion, primarily focused on cancer research.

His personal battle with cancer and loss of both parents to the disease fueled his commitment to finding a cure. Huntsman’s legacy extends beyond business and philanthropy; he was a devoted family man with 56 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren at the time of his passing in 2018. He resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he continued to inspire others with his principles of integrity and generosity until his final days.
