Kenneth Hartley Blanchard is a renowned author, business consultant, and motivational speaker. Born in 1939, he earned his BA from Cornell University, MA from Colgate University, and PhD in Education Administration from Cornell. Blanchard co-founded The Ken Blanchard Companies in 1979 with his wife Margie, where he serves as Chief Spiritual Officer. He has authored or co-authored over 70 books, including the iconic “The One Minute Manager,” which has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. Blanchard is also known for developing the Situational Leadership theory with Paul Hersey. As a Cornell University trustee emeritus and visiting professor, he influences leadership and management practices globally. Blanchard’s passion lies in transforming leaders into servant leaders, and his work has earned him numerous awards, including induction into Amazon’s Hall of Fame as one of the top 25 bestselling authors of all time. Ken resides in San Diego, California, with his wife and their dog, Joy.
