Biography

Stephen R. Covey (1932-2012) was a renowned leadership authority, family expert, and organizational consultant. He held an MBA from Harvard and a doctorate from Brigham Young University, where he was a professor of organizational behavior. Covey gained international recognition with his #1 bestseller "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," which has sold over 40 million copies in 40 languages. As co-founder and vice chairman of FranklinCovey Co., he consulted with many Fortune 500 companies and heads of nations. Covey received numerous awards, including the International Man of Peace Award and being named one of Time magazine's 25 most influential Americans. His other bestselling books include "First Things First" and "The 8th Habit." Covey was known for his principle-centered approach to leadership and life, emphasizing character, integrity, and long-term effectiveness. He lived with his wife Sandra and their family in the Rocky Mountains of Utah.
