Peter M. Senge is a renowned systems scientist, author, and organizational learning expert. He holds a Ph.D. from MIT, where he is a senior lecturer at the Sloan School of Management. Senge gained international recognition with his bestselling book "The Fifth Discipline: The Art and Practice of the Learning Organization" (1990), which Harvard Business Review identified as one of the seminal management books of the previous 75 years. As the founding chair of the Society for Organizational Learning (SoL), Senge has been at the forefront of developing learning organizations for over three decades.
His work focuses on promoting shared understanding of complex issues and fostering leadership for healthier human systems. Senge has co-authored several other influential books, including "Presence" and "The Necessary Revolution." He was named "Strategist of the Century" by the Journal of Business Strategy for his impact on how businesses operate. Currently, Senge continues to lecture at MIT and serves as a co-founder of the Academy for Systemic Change, working on global initiatives related to food systems, climate change, and education. He resides in Massachusetts, where he maintains a regular meditation practice since 1996.
