Augustine "Og" Mandino II was a renowned American author and motivational speaker best known for his bestselling book "The Greatest Salesman in the World." Born in 1923, Mandino overcame personal struggles, including alcoholism and contemplating suicide, to become one of the most influential self-help authors of the 20th century. After serving as a bombardier in World War II, he discovered the power of self-help literature, which transformed his life. Mandino's career took off when he joined W. Clement Stone's Success Unlimited magazine, eventually becoming its president. His books, including "The Greatest Miracle in the World" and "The Choice," have sold over 50 million copies worldwide and have been translated into more than 25 languages. Mandino was inducted into the National Speakers Association's Hall of Fame and continued to inspire millions through his writing and speaking engagements until his death in 1996. He resided in New Hampshire, where he found inspiration for many of his works.
