Matt Faircloth is the co-founder and president of the DeRosa Group, a real estate investment company specializing in buying and renovating residential and commercial properties. With a degree in Engineering from Virginia Tech, Matt transitioned from a Fortune 500 company to full-time real estate investing in 2005. Under his leadership, DeRosa has completed over $30 million in real estate transactions involving private capital, including fix-and-flips, rentals, mixed-use buildings, and apartment complexes.
As an active contributor to BiggerPockets.com, Matt shares his expertise through Facebook Live, webinars, and blogging. He leads the Mentorship Mondays series on DeRosa's YouTube channel, answering weekly real estate investing questions. Matt is also the author of "Raising Private Capital," a guide to building a real estate empire using other people's money.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Matt sits on the board of a local nonprofit, volunteers as a trainer for men's leadership weekends, and enjoys making wine. He currently resides in New Hope, PA, with his wife, Liz, and their two children.
