David M. Rubenstein is a co-founder and co-chairman of The Carlyle Group, one of the world's largest private equity firms. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University and the University of Chicago Law School. Rubenstein's career spans law, government service, and finance. He served as Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy during the Carter Administration and practiced law before co-founding Carlyle in 1987. A renowned philanthropist, Rubenstein is chairman of numerous prestigious institutions, including the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Council on Foreign Relations. He is also the host of "The David Rubenstein Show" on Bloomberg TV and PBS. Rubenstein is the author of multiple books, including "How to Invest: Masters on the Craft." His journey from a modest upbringing in Baltimore to becoming a billionaire and influential figure in finance and philanthropy serves as inspiration for his writing on investment strategies. Rubenstein resides in Bethesda, Maryland, and is the principal owner of the Baltimore Orioles.
