Biography

Dan Heath is an accomplished author, speaker, and fellow at Duke University's CASE center, which supports social entrepreneurs.

He co-authored four New York Times bestsellers with his brother Chip Heath: Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die (2007), Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard (2010), Decisive: How to Make Better Choices in Life and Work, and The Power of Moments: Why Certain Experiences Have Extraordinary Impact (2017).

Their books have sold over 3 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 33 languages. Before his writing career, Heath worked as a researcher and case writer for Harvard Business School.
In the late 1990s, he co-founded an innovative publishing company called Thinkwell, which produced a line of online college textbooks featuring video lectures from top professors.

Heath's passion for making ideas resonate with audiences stems from his early experiences as an educator and entrepreneur.

A proud moment for Heath was winning the 2005 New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest, beating out 13,000 other entrants – a testament to his wit and creativity.

He currently resides in Durham, NC, with his wife and children.
