Biography

Arthur C. Brooks is a renowned social scientist, bestselling author, and Harvard professor. He serves as the Parker Gilbert Montgomery Professor of the Practice of Public and Nonprofit Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School and Professor of Management Practice at the Harvard Business School. Brooks is a columnist for The Atlantic, where he writes the popular "How to Build a Life" column. He has authored 13 books, including the #1 New York Times bestsellers "Build the Life You Want" (2023) and "From Strength to Strength" (2022). Previously, Brooks was the president of the American Enterprise Institute and held academic positions at Syracuse University. His diverse background includes a career as a professional French hornist before transitioning to academia. Brooks speaks globally on happiness and leadership, working to improve well-being in various organizations. He resides near Boston with his wife and has three adult children
