Adele Faber (1928–2024) was a renowned expert in parent-child communication and a #1 New York Times bestselling and award-winning author, best known for co-authoring the internationally acclaimed "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk" and other influential parenting guides. She held a B.A. in theater and drama from Queens College and a master’s degree in education from New York University, and spent eight years teaching in New York City high schools before joining the faculty at The New School for Social Research and the Family Life Institute at Long Island University. Faber’s expertise was shaped by her studies with noted child psychologist Dr. Haim Ginott, which inspired her to develop practical, empathetic communication strategies for families.
