Dashun Wang is a Professor of Management and Organizations at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and McCormick School of Engineering. As the founding director of the Center for Science of Science and Innovation (CSSI) and co-director of the Ryan Institute on Complexity, Wang is at the forefront of interdisciplinary research. His groundbreaking work in the "science of science" field has earned him numerous accolades, including the AFOSR Young Investigator award and recognition as one of Poets & Quants Best 40 Under 40 Professors.
Wang's research focuses on turning scientific methods upon the scientific process itself, utilizing tools from complexity sciences and artificial intelligence to explore innovation opportunities. His work has been published in prestigious journals like Nature and Science, garnering widespread media attention. Wang's journey in academia began with a physics degree from Fudan University, followed by a Ph.D. from Northeastern University.
