Robert I. Sutton is a professor of management science at the Stanford University School of Engineering and a renowned researcher in evidence-based management. He received his Ph.D. in organizational psychology from the University of Michigan in 1984 and has been on the Stanford faculty since 1983. Sutton is a New York Times best-selling author, with his book "The No Asshole Rule: Building a Civilized Workplace and Surviving One That Isn't" winning the Quill Award for best business book in 2007.

He has authored several other influential books on management and workplace culture, including "Good Boss, Bad Boss" and "Scaling Up Excellence". Sutton's work focuses on organizational behaviour, innovation, and creating civilized workplaces.
